One of the most heard phrases in Acro when a partnership is able to do a trick they have diligently been practicing is “Nailed It”. You can think that way about building a practice. Nailing a trick does not happen overnight. And it takes more than just watching.
In other words, reading this guide alone is not enough. Taking action is key. If you don’t take action you won’t find a partner or be able to train Acro regularly feeling so behind and bummed because there goes another week without practice.
I know how hard it is when reading a guide like this. How overwhelming and impossible putting all these steps into action is. It can feel time consuming and yet, another thing to do. It doesn’t need to be. No need to try to conquer everything at once. Keep it simple. Pick one thing you can implement to make time in your busy schedule to train Acro regularly.
Find an Acro partner
Train one individual skill
Choose 1-2 Acro skills that you will play with at the next Acro Jam
Find a place to practice Acro
Schedule a weekly Acro training session with your partner
Pre-plan what you are going to do with your partner at your scheduled Acro time
Look at one of the Acro resources provided online and study what they do
I will take action by (insert what it will be here)___________________________ to further my Acro practice starting now.
You can do it! I believe in you.
Once you do it celebrate by saying outloud “Nailed it!” Funky freestyle dance following is optional.
Big props to you if you’ve read this guide and decided to take action.
